As a Marketing Intern at Sporting Club Baçaim, I was responsible for strengthening the club's digital presence, driving social media engagement, and contributing to overall brand awareness. Despite the club's smaller follower base, I focused on creating strategies to increase reach and engagement through creative content and targeted campaigns.

  • Social Media Management: Managed content on Instagram and Facebook, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence.

  • Audience Engagement: Increased fan interaction by 25%, fostering stronger connections with 700+ followers by creating engaging posts and responding to queries.

  • Campaign Performance Tracking: Used Meta Ads and Google Analytics to monitor ad performance and optimize campaigns. This led to a 15% improvement in ROI (Return on Investment) by refining content strategies based on audience insights.

  • Content Creation: Created written, video, and visual content tailored to the club’s branding, resulting in a more cohesive online presence.

As the Project Manager and Organizer for the Bassein Football Tournament, I was responsible for planning and executing all aspects of the event, including logistics, marketing, and community engagement. Over the years, I successfully scaled the event, attracting more participants and spectators while driving increased visibility for the tournament.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Logistics: Coordinated the entire event process, including venue selection, match scheduling, and referee management. Ensured smooth operations during match days, handling registrations, team check-ins, and on-site management.

  • Marketing & Promotion: Led digital marketing campaigns across social media platforms, specifically Instagram, to build excitement around the tournament. Collaborated with local sponsors to maximize event exposure and reach new audiences.

  • Audience Engagement: Used creative content strategies (like match highlights, behind-the-scenes footage, and player profiles) to build excitement and drive attendance. Enhanced fan interaction by actively responding to queries and updating them on event developments.

  • Stakeholder Management: Worked with sponsors, local clubs, and media partners to ensure seamless event execution and a strong brand presence.

Key Achievements:

  • Tournament Growth: Successfully increased the tournament’s team participation from 16 teams in 2021 to 36 teams in 2024, reflecting the event's growing appeal.

  • Audience Expansion: Boosted attendance by over 400+ spectators each year, thanks to targeted social media campaigns and increased local interest.

  • Brand Visibility: Secured multiple sponsorships, leading to increased event funding and promotional support, while also enhancing the visibility of the Bassein Football Tournament within the community.

  • Content Creation & Engagement: Developed and published engaging content, such as highlight reels, post-match interviews, and interactive social media posts, that resonated with both participants and spectators, further building the event's brand.

Impact:
The Bassein Football Tournament evolved into a major local sporting event, thanks to my leadership and strategic approach. I successfully scaled the event each year, improving logistics, audience engagement, and the overall fan experience. By combining strong project management, marketing strategies, and content creation, I was able to ensure a seamless and successful tournament experience for both participants and spectators.
